Therapy Teams
You and your child-friendly, predictable and well-mannered dog register with the Delta Society as a "Pet Partner" or with Therapy Dogs, Inc. and join Gabriel's Angels in executing our mission to deliver healing pet therapy to abused, neglected and at-risk children, nurturing their ability to love and trust, thereby freeing them from the cycle of violence.
Your generosity with your time (one hour every week or every other week) will be richly repaid in the hugs and gratitude of the children you work with. During your time you will instruct children in animal behavior, pet care, grooming, safety, and relate animal needs and behaviors to the children's needs and behaviors. You will be given tools, teaching aides and training in helping children achieve the critical social skills that will help them break free of the cycle of violence.
