You and your child-friendly, predictable and well-mannered dog become registered with Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) or with Therapy Dogs, Inc. and join Gabriel's Angels in executing our mission to deliver healing pet therapy to at-risk children, nurturing their emotional development and enhancing the quality of their lives forever.
Your generosity with your time (one hour every week or every other week) will be richly rewarded in the hugs and gratitude of the children you visit. During your time you will engage children in animal behavior, pet care, grooming, safety, and relate animal needs and behaviors to the children's needs and behaviors. You will be given tools, teaching aides and training in helping children achieve the critical social skills that will help them break free of the cycle of violence.
