Child abuse is a horrific, inexcusable crime against children. Gabriel's Angels wants to be a beacon of hope and light for these children.

We accomplish our mission by teaching abused and at-risk children compassion, respect and responsibility through the experience of socializing and interacting with Certified Pet Therapy Teams (owner and dog). The Therapy Dogs act as catalysts for social and verbal interaction for those children who:

• Due to their environment and early histories are at-risk of becoming violent or abusive due to an inability to express feelings or thoughts of compassion, nurturing and/or emotional attachment or involvement with others.
  
  
• Have exhibited violent and/or abusive behavior toward animals or others, or have themselves been victims of abuse or violence

Because of this early intervention by Gabriel's Angels, many of these children now have the opportunity to experience a healthy and nurturing relationship with an animal—a first step for many at risk children in learning how they relate emotionally to another living being.
